I Wanna Be Sedated (again)

Well, that's over. Because I'm a total wuss about seeing vital parts of my anatomy being wrenched from my body, I chose to be sedated for my dental surgery. One minute, I was getting jabbed in the arm with an IV. The next I was woozy and my mouth was filled with gauze. When you choose to be sedated, they require you to bring an adult who can drive you home. I can see why! The nurse brought me down to the exit in a wheelchair and, during the ten-foot walk to the car, I was stumbling around like I'd just downed 10 tequilas.

Actually, I think that was the best 11 minutes of sleep I've had in years.

I'll write more when I'm not loopy from painkillers and loss of blood. :-p

Isn't that a freaky feeling, being sedated and disoriented, and forgetful. I remember bits and pieces of being told instructions, but no clue a to what they were.
I just hope they didn't assault my beautiful body while I was sleeping. (I wish!)
You know, I really like being fully conscious, not during procedures, but in normal life. I loved getting high and drunk as a younger guy, but I haven't liked that for a long time now. Today when I drink, I just get tired. There are too many things I like to do. I like my energy and my alertness.
