There's a park near where I live. I'm hesitant to call it a large park since it doesn't even come close to NYC's Central Park. But, it's fairly large for a city park. It has an outdoor swimming pool that's open in the summer, a wooded pond with walking trails around it, a covered picnic area, and the usual playground. Every summer, a carnival sets up shop. It's not a huge carnival but it has about five large rides, various games, and really, really overpriced food stands.* It ends on the 4th of July when the open grass is covered with families and other people there to see the fireworks display shot off that night. Let's just call it a large medium-sized park.

*Me last year: 'Sixdollarsforaboxofminidonuts?!? WTF?!?' *pays anyway and still whines about it almost a year later*

Since the weather's been kinda cooperative (above 20 degrees) this past week and because I don't want to re-experience the muscle cramping incident of my first bicycle tour, I've been taking short walks there and around the pond. Anyway, the last three times I've been there, I've seen the same woman with a beagle. The first time I looked at the dog and thought, 'Cuteness!'. The second time I thought, 'Oh, what a coincidence!' and nodded and smiled at her and the beagle. The third time? 'Geez, I hope she doesn't think I'm stalking her.' O.o

There's no actual reason for the picture. I just thought it was amusing.

Funny, post... keep making me laugh. I love your perspective on things. I love the comment from Oscar Wilde as well.

Btw, thanks for linking to me!

So, you consider demonic dog possession amusing?! Get that pooch an exorcist :)

Lol! I'm always afraid of someone thinking that when I end up driving behind the same car for a long time.

At least you're not showing up at the pond in an unmarked white van with tinted windows.

Charles - Oscar Wilde is superbly quotable. Much better than that hack, Mark Twain. ;)

Franscud - Hmmm, maybe after she gets a personal trainer.

Erin - Ha! I almost bought a van like that when I was working for a courier service many years ago.
