Ouch

Oof, I have to figure out a way to get more exercise during the winter. A 2-mile walk today wiped me out. There's a gym close to where I live but I'm a little wary of calling and asking for prices. Years ago, I went and asked about prices at that very same gym and was getting sales calls from them for the next three months. Anyway, it's not even an issue right now since summer's coming.

That exercise word really is torture on the eyes, I have the same problem in the winter but I managed to drop 40lbs this winter and now the nice weather is coming I am getting lazy, go figure!
My plan was to lose enough weight to slip into some "half" sexy looking cloths this summer instead of the usually tent wear, guess time will tell **mumbles** maybe I go to the gym, good luck and kill the sales call people!

You could always look for a treadmill on craigslist or similar ads in the paper. Someone is usually tired of using theirs as a coathanger.

Isn't it the truth? I have to get my butt into the gym myself. In Beijing, China the gym consists of itty bitty Chinese and they love to look at a specimen of international fat struggling on the eliptical machine. Its a phenomenon! Good luck with the cold and steer clear of the barrage of phone calls!!

Shy - Wow! Grats on the weight loss. Exercising doesn't really bother me. It's just the freaking cold that drives me indoors.

Stormdrane - Yeah, I had that thought a couple hours after I posted it. It'd certainly be cheaper in the long run.

1verse - Ha! Yeah, I can see that happening. My mother's Japanese and super conscious of her weight. Once, at the doctor, she said "I'm fat!" (She's 4'11 and 120 pounds *rolls eyes*) before stepping on the scale. The heavy woman standing behind her looked like she was about to deck her.
