Airplanes & Swallows

I was playing around with the video part of my camera and determined that I have way too shaky a hand (too much caffeine) and way too unappealing a radio voice to do video ever again. :-/ Basically I was just trying to capture the airplanes that fly over Veteran's Park every few minutes and the swallows that nest in the roof of Veteran's Park picnic shelter. The part with the swallows needs to be edited better but Windows Movie Maker won't let me split a segment that's under 30 seconds long. :-/

Edited to Add: Eww, you can barely even see the plane.

Not too bad at all. I really liked the birds. They were really telling you off for being in there. :o)

I don't like my voice either when it comes to recording it. I fiddled around with my video but all I did was tape my husband snoring. He said he wasn't snoring. I said he was. I proved it. He called me a smart ass. :o)~

Most mics built into cameras are pretty crappy, so we may not be getting an accurate portrayal of the quality of your voice ... didn't sound so bad to me anyway :). The more you use the camera, the better you'll get. Video reports from the bike tour would be pretty cool.

Once or twice a year i'll head to the airport and watch the planes take off and land overhead. Aside from the smell of jet fuel it's rather fun.

Titania - Ha, my mother taped my father snoring with a cassette tape long, long ago because he wouldn't believe her.

Francis - The audio is kind of terrible. Earlier, I was playing with it a bit at Minnehaha Falls and the sound of the rushing water was wretched and sounded nothing like the real life sound.

Johnny - I had a friend in high school who'd do that about once a week. He wanted to be a pilot so it didn't surprise me.

Keep trying. Surely you'll get better and better at video. You are so unique! Who cares about a slightly shaky caffeine hand! It is so personal. I LOVED it! And your voice is just fine, also adding to the personal touch!

Check out a podcast called "Beautiful Places in HD." I follow it on my iTunes. You might get some ideas.

Oh, and always finish showing your feet walking away. That was a nice signature touch! ; )

Ferd - Ha, the feet walking away was one of the things I would've edited out.

That podcast is awesome. I subscribed to it.
