April 7, 2010 and the Quest for Bean Burritos

Why you shouldn't go to the
grocery store hungry

I didn't feel very motivated to leave the house today. So, when I looked into the pantry and was greeted by only a can of green beans, some crackers, and a bunch of Japanese foods that I don't even know the name for, I groaned. It was time to go to the grocery store again. Grocery shopping isn't one of my favorite pastimes. I often wander the aisles lost and shouting (in my head, of course. Actually shouting might look odd.), "Where are the re-fried beans?!? Why can I never find the re-fried beans?" I should probably stop shopping at 4 different grocery stores, all with different layouts. Or Cub Foods could stop moving the damn re-fried beans. Whichever.

So, yeah. That's pretty much all I did today. Play Petville and wander grocery stores aisles throwing sweets into the shopping cart and looking for bean burrito ingredients and forgetting tomato soup.

You are SO right about not going to the grocery store hungry!

The other thing I read is that people who use coupons buy more stuff and spend more money than people who don't.

Sounds like you had a good day! Any day with the words "bean burrito" is a good day!

Yup, under normal circumstances, I might've bought one of those but not all three.

Yeah, I can see that happening w/coupons. I do use them but I stick to stuff I'd buy anyway. Funny thing is I really only bought those Hershey's chocolate eggs because they were 1/2 off.

It was a good day. :)
