Needy Cat

Needy Cat
I may have the most emotionally needy cat in the world. Don't get me wrong. I adore her and am amazed and glad that she's lived to be 15 years old so far. But she's constantly trying to get into my lap or clawing at me as I walk past. And, every night, as I lay down to go to sleep, she's there. The last habit isn't that annoying. But, two or three months ago, she started a new habit. If I don't pet her immediately, she'll drag her claws across my face. One of these days, I'm going to end up with a claw in my eye.

I actually have two cats. The black one is far more independent. She ignores everybody in the house unless she's begging for food or looking at the dog in a disgusted manner.

She DOES sound needy! I just poke my human. Or comb her hair with my claws. Or meow in her ear. But if I REALLY want her attention, I ignore her completely. Then she comes running! So your cat needs to learn some reverse psychology.

I had "Needy Dog" as my Music Monday post this week...now you must set your Needy Cat to music and get her up on YouTube!

AAAAAaaaaaaahhhchoo (cat allergies)!

Sparkle - You should definitely tell her that! The black cat gets lots of pets and scratches even though she hardly ever asks for them.

Roxy - Ha! I remember that post. I can completely empathize with the singer.

I scared Needy Cat with the flash too many times. Now, she sees the camera and runs away.
