Mayor Kirsch

I'm on a public art and sculptures kick. The one below can be found near 66th & Lyndale in Richfield, MN. The bandana and headband aren't part of the sculpture. Somebody was being wacky for Independence Day. I like it!

"Mayor Kirsch" by Jane Frees-Kluth

The plaque reads:

Mayor Kirsch
2007

Jane Frees-Kluth

Cast Bronze

In appreciation of his many years of
dedicated service to the City of Richfield

It's a really fun statue/memorial. He must have been a guy with a sense of humor, or they wouldn't have honored him in this way, don't you think?

I agree. It's my second favorite sculpture (that I've seen so far) in the Twin Cities area. Right after a bunny sculpture that's on Minnehaha Parkway.
