When I was at the State Fair, I briefly ended up in the Eco Building where they promote 'green' technologies. One of the displays was a map showing all of the bus routes and bicycle/walking trails in the Twin Cities. I looked closer and realized there was a section of trails that winds its way alongside the Mississippi River in St. Paul. Since I'd never been there, I had to go see it for myself.
It's probably only interesting to me but I ended up at a scenic overlook: The meeting place of the Minnesota River and the Mississippi River. I'd been there before but it was always on the Fort Snelling side or from the Mendota Bridge.
