Scenes From The Trail

I've fallen out of the photography habit lately so some of these photos from yesterday aren't as great as they could be. :-)

It's a steep hill but...

you're rewarded with a very nice view on the other side.

I must have gone past this rock tons of times but I hadn't seen it before yesterday. It's right next to the bicycle trails on either Lake Calhoun or Harriet. And it reads:

"On the hill above was
erected the
first dwelling
in Minneapolis by
Samuel W. and Gideon H. Pond
Missionaries to the Indians
June 1834
Dedicated by the Native Sons of
Minnesota, May 30th, 1908"

The hill behind the rock.

Great pics!
And I'm jealous of your bike lanes. We have NO bike lanes and no shoulders. Riding is a bit dangerous around here.

That's one thing about Minneapolis-St. Paul that I love. Bicycling is very easy around here because of all those bike lanes.

If I could afford it, I'd move back to Las Vegas. But, from what I remember, cycling would be terrifying there. But, I lived just off the strip so it would probably be easier in the residential areas.
