Just Randomness

Meh, a kitty-cat with moderately high vet bills has put the brakes on my plan to go bicycle touring this summer. It's nothing terribly serious. She has hyperthyroidism (?) and has to get checked out about once a year. But, the  health of the kittycats come before travel. I could probably go in September but September in northern Minnesota is a little too cold for my wimpy self. The days aren't so bad but the temperature can drop into the 40's and 50's at night.

Yep, that would stop me, too, if I had to camp. Though they do make really great sleeping bags for that temperature. Still, the long, cold evenings would be no fun.
You'll have to focus on local rides.

Yeah, my sleeping bag seems to be pretty good and I don't notice the cold. But, when I'm camping, I often wake up really early and can't get back to sleep. Getting hit with 43 degree temps right when you wake up is kinda dreadful. I think I might do a shorter trip in September.
