Como Park Zoo

So, obviously, I went to the Como Park Zoo yesterday. It's a long bus ride, about 1 1/2 hours each way, but it's worth it once in a while. Took a bunch of pictures, dodged hordes of little kids, and ate some Pad Thai. I really love the Japanese Gardens. It's like entering another world. And they're currently having some sort of program about Bonsai trees. Which explains all the pictures of tiny bonsai trees below.

I did have one horrible mishap. I put a bottle of Diet Coke into my bag. About ten minutes later, I noticed that something was dripping on me. I didn't tighten the cap enough and now my cell phone and Kindle Paperwhite are toast. :-( But, there's a bright side to it. I contacted Amazon's customer service asking what to do. I was hoping that they'd offer me a cheaper repair than what a new one would cost. But, to my surprise, they offered to replace it. All I have to do is return the old one. So, now, I absolutely love Amazon.  And, as for the phone, well, I probably needed a new one anyway. And, since I hardly ever use it, I'll probably switch to a pay-as-you-go plan, which'll save me money in the long run.

You can't really see them but there's koi goldfish in there.
